Final Major Project

I have a big project under way for college which could mean passing or failing the course! we have to create something that can be anything to our liking and originally I was going for an uncharted styled game environment but then like half way through I decided I didn't like it and wanted to do a half-life mod!

Seeing as I changed my idea, there is a limited amount of time I have to do it in which is until March, so there's no point tying to cram in a load of info on how to export import etc. to the Hammer editor/ source engine. So I decided to just create a half life environment which of course keeping to half life traditions, I will be keeping it low poly, well try to anyway.

So far I have created the environment with 3 buildings 2 of which is the exact same for OOD purposes (Object Oriented Design). In the stage of creating trees (trying to learn Alpha maps for trees). I have created a low poly 74 poly crow bar, which could be a pick-up weapon, also a baseball bat which I made this morning, a bin (could need some doing over with), half a phone box, a bench which will be copied and finally a barrel! Unfortunately, I only have one object that is textured, which is the barrel!

Other good news is that some of my work will be going into a magazine, which will be going around universities around the UK!

  • Watching: Cloverfield, because it reminds me of R2
  • Playing: Resitance 2, BF:BC, MGS4 (going off MGO)
  • Eating: food
  • Drinking: drinky drinks
